How to Apply Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics' Lip Tar (Without Making a Mess)

When we want mega-pigmented lip color in a long-wearing formula that won't dry out by the time we grab our afternoon coffee, we reach for Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (also known as OCC)'s Lip Tar Liquid Lipstick, which comes in shades that range from Femme (a ballerina pink) to Black Dahlia (a daring black-red). The only thing harder than choosing one to wear? Learning how to carefully apply the sometimes-tricky liquid formula. In this video, Juliette teaches you how to use your OCC Lip Tar sample using her fingers and a lip brush.

Just follow these simple steps:

1. Remove cap and dispense a bead of product onto the back of your hand. (Keep in mind, a little goes a long way.)

2. Use your finger to dab the product onto the center of your bottom lip, blending outward as you go.

3. Press your lips together to apply product to your top lip.

4. Use a lip brush for a more precise application. (Don't forget the corners!)
