How to Use Micellar Water
1. Use it to Remove Makeup, Correct Makeup, and Remove Too Much Perfume
Micellar water is a gentle, effective makeup remover that wont dry out skin. Its formula is so gentle, in fact, that you can also use it around your eyes and on your lips to tweak your eyeliner or erase lipstick smudges. A cotton pad soaked in micellar water can even remove too much perfume!
2. Use it as a Daily Cleanser
Ran out your usual daily cleanser, but still have micellar water on hand? No problem. Micellar water can do the job without stripping skin of moisture.
3. Use it as a Balancing Toner
When used as a post-cleanse toner, micellar water wipes away remaining traces of toxins and impurities from your skin and pores, balances skins pH level, and calms irritation.
4. Use it to Prime and Set Your Makeup
To prime skin pre-makeup application, apply a cotton pad soaked in micellar water all over your face. After applying your makeup, you can also use micellar water as a setting spray: Add some product to a spray bottle and spritz it about 10 inches away from your face to avoid a powdery, cake-y finish.
5. Use it as a Calming Face Mask
You can minimize redness, hydrate, and increase your skins natural barrier against external aggressors (like pollution, harsh weather, and makeup) by generously soaking tissues (or a thin washcloth) with micellar water and using them as a DIY sheet mask to cover your face. Leave the treatment on for ten minutes (while soaking in the tub, for examplethe steam will help the product penetrate) and, voil: enviably smooth skin.
