How To: Create a Voluminous 1960s Bouffant

Now that April is here, Mad Men fever is in the air, which means we're pairing our cat eyes with huge hair. The beehive may be tricky to pull off outside of the SC&P offices, but as our Social Media Director Rachel points out, its little sister, the bouffant, is totally wearable in the 21st century. By spraying second (or third...) day hair with Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray and backcombing the top with a teasing brush (Rachel uses the Spornette Little Wonder), you can quickly create volume worthy of the 1960s. Use Rachel's criss-cross technique to create a bouffant, smooth any lingering frizz with Beauty Protector Protect & Oil, freeze everything in place with Number 4 Mighty Hair Spray, and voila you've reached Brigitte Bardot status. Watch as Rachel walks you through this vintage-inspired look step by step.
