How to Get Textured Curls in Natural Hair

An updated take on the Twist that was so popular in the early 2000s, this look gives hair both depth and texture. If youre growing your hair out, but dont want to commit to dreadlocks or an Afro, this is a great alternative. Just keep in a mind a few simple steps:

** Start with slightly wet, moisturized hair thats at least an inch long.

** Pick it out and apply some high-hold pomade or hairspray to speed up the curl-forming process.

** Using a curl sponge, start at the crown of the head and rub it in a circular motion clockwise around the head for 1-5 minutes.

** Remember to keep your hair and scalp moisturized, and shampoo your hair once a weekwait too long and those curls could become dreadlocks.
